Ep 2. Zombie snails, hermaphrodites and the fall of the Berlin Wall

Australia is famous for its marsupials like kangaroos, koalas, and wombats. But did you know that Australia has some of the most unique snails on the planet? In every habitat from your own backyard to the dry desert, Australia’s snails are diverse and often found nowhere else in the world.

Dr Frank Köhler is a research scientist from the Australian Museum in Sydney that specialises in studying land snails. What seem like such humble creatures may hold the key to understanding how climate change is affecting Australian ecosystems.
